My name is Melissa, and I take pictures (also known as peektures when I’m being silly). Sometimes the pictures speed by at 24 to 30 (or maybe even 60) frames per second. Sometimes it’s a still photograph. Either way, I really like to capture moments.
I’m based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba as multimedia editor at the Winnipeg Free Press. This actually means I work out of the Winnipeg Free Press News Café where people come to eat and drink and sometimes ask questions of Members of Parliament.
Prior to Winnipeg I was with Our Kids Media for a short time as multimedia manager. I spent a year in the newsroom at the Waterloo Region Record in 2010-2011 as a reporter/photographer, and one summer before that as photography intern.
I’m available for freelance and whatever visual ideas you want to throw at me in the Winnipeg area.
